Biology defines everything around us, from our environment to our society. Understanding biology is understanding the inner mechanics of every living thing and how they work together to grow and eat. Biology affects everything we do, and we affect it in return. 
Informative pieces work to intrigue the viewer, teaching them something new, or getting them excited about something different. These pieces work to combine text elements with realistic imagery and abstract representation. They combine elements that replicate the childlike wonder of learning. Engaging the viewer, their memories of learning and wonder, these pieces try to lead you down your own path to something new, whether it be the subject of the pieces or an aspect of the overall work. 
Working to combine the organic and inorganic, I aim to demonstrate the effect we have on the world around us from a naturalistic and visceral point of view. Using conventional and nonconventional 3D and 2D elements, the base of my sculptural work is to unsettle the viewer with organic forms, combining our humanity with the inorganic material we have created. An image to hold us accountable for our unrestrained growth and entrenched damage to our surroundings. I ask, how deeply ingrained have we become on the world around us?
